Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium Leader

Mr Prior, our Pupil Premium Leader, has the responsibility of leading a whole school programme to improve the outcomes for disadvantaged pupils and narrow the gap with others within the school and nationally.

He works closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the Inclusion Manager to ensure that needs are met in a timely and supportive manner.

Pupil Premium Governance Review

In April 2021, we commissioned a review of Pupil Premum and Governance.  The report captured our hard work in support some of our most vulnerable pupils:

'..... school leaders show a clear desire and mind-set to the best they can for all pupils, including a commendable focus on vulnerable groups'

'a generally sound framework and approach has been developed by the school for PPG and related areas.  Covid has impacted on the school's ability to properly address this area in 2020, but activities have picked up again in 2021.'

Pupil Premium Grant (PPG)

Catch-Up Premium

The Government has announced that £1 billion of funding has been earmarked for schools to support children and young people to catch up. This includes a one-off universal £650 million catch-up premium for the 2020 to 2021 academic year to ensure that schools have the support they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time due to Covid-19.   Although all children have had their education disrupted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, it is likely that disadvantaged and vulnerable groups will have been hardest hit.

We have received £16 560.    Below is our action plan for how the funding will be spent.  This will be reviewed each term by Governors and Leaders.
