Welcome

At Homerswood School we are supportive of families needing provision at the beginning and end of the day.  We offer wrap around care for children from Reception to Year 6. We want all children, parents and carers to feel happy, safe and reassured by the provision we offer, providing an environment that is stimulating and full of exciting new experiences. We encourage all children to have a voice and nurture a sense of belonging.

Breakfast Club

Our breakfast club starts at 7.30am til the start of the school day. We offer toast, fruit and a range of cereals up til 8.15am. A selection of activities and access to outdoor area will be available for the children to enjoy before going to class.

After School

Our after-school provision is available in 2 sessions. Session 1 runs until 4.30pm and session 2 runs until 6pm.  We have a range of activities out for the children to access, such as board games, arts and crafts, lego etc. Outdoor space is available to enable the children to let off some energy.  Equipment is available such as football, skipping ropes and quick cricket.  We can offer a quiet place for the children to relax and have a chat too.

For all children, a healthy snack will be offered for when they finish school and drinks will be readily available. Those who attend until 6pm will be provided with a light tea such as crumpets, wraps or bagels.

Theme events

Theme days happen throughout the year to ensure that provision is varied and relevant.  Picnics may be outside with team games such as rounders or obstacle courses. Friday film days will be organised throughout the year where all children can relax and watch a film with a hotdog and popcorn.   Dates for these will be advertised so families can sign up on a adhoc basis.  We would love for them to join us.

The Staffing Team

There are 3 members of staff available, Miss Spear, Mrs Tenorio-Chazin and Miss Williams-Amos have been associated with Homerswood Primary School for many years. They are familiar to the children and that enables the children to settle in straight away. The expectations of school and wrap around care will be followed throughout the day. Children in Reception will be given a key worker and a buddy. Please feel free to talk to either member of staff if you have any worries or concerns or just some general feedback.

Fees from 2022

Breakfast Club - £4.00 including breakfast.  There is no need to book in advance payment can be made on arrival or in advance.  We can not accept children where payment has not been made.

After School Sessions must be paid for in advance using School Comms/Gateway.

After School Session 1 - £7.00 until 4.30pm - 

After school session 2 - £13 until 6pm including light tea, this is not in replace of dinner.

Before your child starts you need to complete a contract which can be found below.  Please read the accompanying terms and conditions carefully before signing.  Please then email this to the school office admin@homerswood.herts.sch.uk to book your child's place.  This is needed for all provision.
