Pebbles is a very special member of our school community. She is a calm and gentle tortoise who has become a firm favourite with both pupils and staff. With her steady nature and curious personality, Pebbles brings something truly unique to school life.
Having Pebbles in school is about more than just enjoying her company. She helps us to teach children important values such as patience, empathy, and responsibility. By taking part in her daily care, pupils learn about routine, animal welfare, and the respect we should show to all living things.
Pebbles enjoys spending time in her enclosure, where she can explore, eat her favourite greens, and bask under her heat lamp. When the weather is warm, she ventures outside to enjoy the sunshine, much to the delight of pupils who love to watch her explore.
One of Pebbles’ greatest gifts to our school is the sense of calm she brings. Children often enjoy visiting her enclosure during the day, and her quiet, steady movements remind us all to take life at a slower pace.
Pebbles is much more than a school pet – she is part of our school team. She helps create memorable experiences for pupils and adds an extra dimension to school life that enriches our community.
We are very proud to have Pebbles with us, and we look forward to many more years of learning and growing together with her.
