Parent Representatives: The Role

Each class in school has a Class Representative. Being a Class Rep is an important and rewarding role. Class Representatives help build a sense of community among the parents, and they provide a valuable link between the parents and the school.

THE ROLE

The role of the Class Representative is to provide a link between the class teacher and the parents. It is a collaborative role that supports the teaching and learning within the classroom, is supportive of the class teacher and the school, whilst also enabling the parents to have a voice within the school. Fundamentally, the role of the Class Representatives is to work towards the common goal of developing every child’s potential without limitations.

The Class Reps for 2024 - 2025 are:

As a dedicated parent representative, I’m passionate about fostering strong, healthy relationships between home and school. I enjoy helping families feel connected, informed, and supported, and I’m always happy to step in wherever I’m needed—sometimes because I truly believe in the work, and sometimes simply because I find it hard to say no! My goal is to contribute to a positive, collaborative school community where every voice feels valued.

“I have been a Parent Representative for my daughter’s class for 6 years now.  I thoroughly enjoy being a point of contact to be able to communicate class queries/praise to the school and equally from the school to parents.

It’s great to hear about school initiatives and progress through the twice termly parent representative meetings and also to give a parent voice to any current projects or challenges.  It’s been a privilege to have been able to represent parents for the past 6 years.”
