Welcome to Nursery

The children have settled really well into nursery and are enjoying playing, making new friends and exploring their setting.

The nursery team are Mrs Spillman, Mrs Prince, Mrs Wright and Miss Watts and we are looking forward to having lots of fun with the children this summer term.

Learning is planned through exciting topics. This half term we are thinking and learning about keeping safe and people who help us. We already have an exciting visit planned from our local community police officers. We also plan from the children’s interests and what they want to learn and find out about.

Learning takes place both inside and outside the classroom and we are very lucky to have a lovely outdoor area where we love to explore, climb and build.

Keep checking the web page to see our exciting news, photos and amazing learning.

Dear Parents/Carers,

There is a new free app for families in Hertfordshire called 50 Things to do before you’re five. It’s full of ideas for activities and experiences that are free or low cost (under £20 for a family of 4) and encourages communication and language, being active and trying new things. Many experiences are outdoors and open ended so the whole family can take part! The intention is to improve outcomes for younger children and the app is designed to support families and focus on developing early language skills.

The app also offers the ability to build a digital memory bank of your child's activities and special memories, these memories can be shared with your class teacher and included in your child's learning journey.

For more details, please find attached a guide to downloading the app or visit www.50thingstodo.org
