Link Governor visits:

Governors have a statutory responsibility to evaluate the effectiveness of the school and its curriculum.  Each governor is linked to a core academic subject and/or a specific aspect of governance, such as safe guarding, and it is expected that the governor visits the school termly to meet with the appropriate subject leader or member of staff.  The relevant section of the school plan is updated and annotated after each meeting and presented at the full governing body meetings.

A majority of the training courses for governors are provided by Herts for Learning (HfL) and vary from 2 hours long evening training sessions to all day courses.

Governors also attend Award and Governor assembly's, Parents evenings, Sports Day, Summer Fair and the chair of governors has regular meetings with the Head Teacher.
